This kit was a huge disappointment to me. When it arrived, all the floss was in a bunch that took forever to separate. In addition, there were several shades of each color. Trying to figure out which was which was next to impossible. After hours of work, I went to a craft store to buy all new floss but could not get everything. The kit is now packed away. I will never buy another Bucilla kit as I wrote to them and this is their standard way of packaging.

I wish I would have listened to the reviews when I purchased this kit but I went against my gut instinct. I opened the kit this morning and it took me 2 hours to just untangle the thread. I haven't even started sorting the colors but, just looking at the thread, I can tell that is going to a challenge itself. This is the first and last time I will buy a Bucilla kit. I will stick to Dimensions from now on.
Beware getting started

I bought this knowing I would replace Aida cloth with linen. But I was shocked at the labor involved in separating the floss. After much work, the final blow was discovering the near impossibility of deciding which color described on the chart was what color in my collection of floss--no color guide provided. Then I researched the DMC colors. After holding their floss and DMC together, it's apparent Bucilla floss is thinner and stiffer. If you want to see clean X's, maybe okay. But if you want color coverage of the design, it's not. Not all their colors have a DMC equivalent, so I spent another chunk of time with my own floss and then in the store--and made the final decision to go with DMC. So, I paid this price for one thing: A chart.
